# Time off webhook

> Events sent when time off is created, edited, approved, denied, or deleted.

Ask Breakroom to subscribe your endpoint with `featureType: time_off` and
the event types below.

See the [Webhooks overview](https://docs.breakroomapp.com/guides/webhooks/overview.md) for delivery, retries,
and the shared payload format.

## Event types

| `eventType` | Sent when |
| - | - |
| `time_off_created` | Time off is created |
| `time_off_updated` | Time off is edited (dates, notes) without being approved or denied |
| `time_off_approved` | Time off is approved (`status` changes to `approved`) |
| `time_off_denied` | Time off is denied (`status` changes to `denied`) |
| `time_off_deleted` | Time off is deleted |

When time off needs approval (for example, a member requests it),
`time_off_created` is sent with `status: pending`. `time_off_approved` or
`time_off_denied` follows when a manager reviews it.

Approvals and denials are sent **only** as `time_off_approved` and
`time_off_denied`, never as `time_off_updated`. Subscribe to all three to
track every status change.

## Payloads
